Products Description
The JL series portable oil filtration unit uses a gear pump and a 5-micron absolute glass-fiber/polyester depth filter to remove silt, sludge and carbon fines from hydraulic, lubricating and transformer oils. The pleated media is cleanable and reusable, eliminating the recurring cost of disposable filter paper. The unit sits on a wheeled frame and can be brought directly to the equipment, avoiding the time and risk of draining and transporting oil to a stationary plant.

Features
- 5-micron absolute depth filtration. The element is tested per ISO 16889 with a Beta ratio of 200 or higher, trapping the silt-sized particles that cause abrasive wear in servo valves and bearing journals. Cleaner oil directly reduces valve stiction, extends bearing life and lowers the frequency of component repair.
- Pleated reusable media with high dirt-holding capacity. The pleated geometry provides roughly three times the surface area of conventional wound cartridges, so the element runs longer between change-outs. The stainless steel support core is cleaned and reused, and only the synthetic microfiber wrap is discarded, cutting solid waste and paper disposal fees.
- Differential-pressure indication at 0.25 MPa. A gauge shows the pressure drop across the filter. When it reaches 0.25 MPa, the element is ready for change-out. This prevents the bypass valve from opening and sending unfiltered oil back into circulation-a condition that would expose servo valves and journal bearings to the full contaminant load.
- Two variants for specific site conditions. The JL‑II includes an in‑line heater that warms high‑viscosity oils above 460 cSt or cold oil near freezing, maintaining rated flow when a cold start would otherwise slow filtration. The JL‑Ex portable oil filtration unit is housed in a sealed flameproof enclosure with IEC 60079‑compliant cable glands, allowing the unit to operate safely in refineries, chemical plants and other hazardous areas.
- Quick-release filter access. The element sits behind a front cover secured by a quick-release clamp. An operator can pull the used cartridge and insert a new one in under five minutes, minimizing downtime during field service.
