In modern industrial maintenance, the most critical oil cleaning often needs to happen where the equipment sits-not in a centralized oil room. Transformer oil in a substation, hydraulic fluid in a mobile crane, or lubricating oil in a wind turbine gearbox: none of these can be easily drained and shipped to a stationary filter plant. Downtime is expensive, and contamination events are often sudden. The JL Series Portable Oil Filtration Unit is engineered specifically for these emergency and routine field-service scenarios, offering a compact, wheeled platform that brings high-precision filtration directly to the machinery, regardless of plant layout or access constraints.
Core Filtration Mechanism – Precision Without Complexity
Unlike stationary centrifugal separators that require skilled operators, the JL employs a positive-displacement gear pump that delivers a steady, pulse-free flow through a depth-type filter element. The filtration media is a high-grade glass-fiber/polyester composite with an absolute rating of 5 microns (tested per ISO 16889, Beta ratio ≥ 200). This traps not only visible sludge and carbon fines but also silt-sized particles that cause abrasive wear in servo valves and bearing journals.
Crucially, the system does not use disposable filter paper. Instead, it utilizes a cleanable/replaceable pleated stainless-steel support core wrapped with synthetic microfiber. This design offers three practical advantages:

Operational Simplicity – The Real Meaning of "User-Friendly"
The JL's control panel is deliberately minimal: a main power switch, a start/stop push-button, a pressure gauge (inlet and outlet differential), and an hour meter for maintenance tracking. An optional differential-pressure switch can be fitted to trigger an alarm when the filter element reaches its change-out ΔP (typically 0.25 MPa), preventing bypass-valve opening and ensuring the oil always passes through the full media depth.
Routine maintenance is straightforward:
Element replacement: Unscrew the quick-release clamp, extract the cartridge, and insert a new one-takes under 5 minutes.
Pump seal check: Accessible via the front cover, with standard O-ring sizes available locally.
Electrical safety: The JL-Ex variant includes a sealed flameproof enclosure with cable glands that comply with IEC 60079, ensuring that internal sparks cannot ignite external atmospheres.
